Kate Moss - For and Against?

Real models wear fur: Kate's love affair with fur has seen her come under fire from anti-fur campaigners including Peta

Kate's championing of real fur coincides with a 30 per cent rise in sales in the UK, in a market now worth an estimated £500m in the UK.

And in another irony, the millionaire model designs a successful clothing range for Topshop which has an anti-fur policy.

Louise Stevenson, from Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade, blasted: "It is hypocritical and it shows that she does not have any ethics but is willing to take money for whatever she can get."

Naomi Campbell For Fur

Naomi Campbell has addressed her hypocrisy on decrying fur and then promoting it by sayings she was offended by PETA tactics towards the industry. The former super-model was a one-time participant in PETA’s “I’d rather go naked than wear fur” campaign but was quickly dropped after she chose to wear fur in a fashion show.

“Campbell now aims to set the record straight on the issue and remains defiant about her love of fur. She says, ‘When PETA started targeting Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfield and putting dead animals on their plate, I felt that they went too far and I thought, I didn’t want to be a part of this campaign anymore. I do like wearing fur and I still do.’”

Olympic Champion for PETA

Recently, Amanda Beard, a gold medalist for the US swim team revealed a nude ad campaign against fir in Beijing. The campaign is very controversial, this is because Beijing is the host of the Olympic this time. The as have the words " Be comfortable in YOUR OWN SKIN. Don't wear fur." In China, there are many farms that violates animal rights, but because the number of farms are increasing, it is very hard to prevent such things. Click here to see the ad campaign.
And below is one of the most heinous thing human being are capable of, you won't believe it until you see this video.

Trent Reznor against fur

Trent Raznor speaks for peta. This video is very disturbing, it shows how the chinese kills animals in order to get their fur. As we all know, Chinese had a rapidly growing industries, this also includes the fashion industry. How many clothing line do u see that are made in china? if you see any fur product that are made in china, this is what happen to get those fur. As a rapidly growing country, and with cultural differences, china is not a country who are concern about animal rights. You can help save thousands of animals by not wearing or purchasing fur.

Cheers,
A.

Burberry or FURberry?

Early on this year, PETA UK has confronted the oh-so-very successful clothing line Burberry for using real fur for its clothes. Burberry has been famously stand for the use of fur for years. The protesters were chanting "Burberry tortures animals!" creating a big, unwanted attention, the cops were called . after the protest in London, the New York store had a visit by PETA as well. Burberry representatives also denied entry for PETA's Vice President, Bruce Friedrich. Friedrich intended to persuade Burberry's shareholders to put a stop at using fur.

Designers against fur

Designers against fur are those designers who joined the PETA campaign to not use real fur for their products. Designers who support the campaign against fur includes Ralph Lauren, Stella McCartney, Betsey Johnson, Marc Bouwer, and many more. These designers are aware of the consequences of using real fur for their design, and therefore they use faux fur to replace it. It is not impossible to substitute the use of real fur with faux fur. As the technology had become more advance, there are companies who could make faux fur which have similar qualities as real fur. so why does any designer wants to use real fur? This had been a question that many people asked. These designers had used faux fur as a substite for real fur, as a result, their designs are no less appealing than those using real fur.

Tim Gunn the dean of fashion in Parsons, the best fashion design school, also supported Peta for its campaign. Furthermore, he also applies with this campaign in a a very successful TV show called project runway. This actually effect many young designers to be more aware of the materials that they use to produce their clothing. If you dont have to kill, why do you choose to kill? Animal do have rights, and these designers had recognized that. see it for your self in one of the videos we're posting here.

Sharon Stone and PETA

PETA is so disgusted in Sharon Stones fur wearing antics that they have offered her a free brain scan in an effort to improve her compassion. As they believe that compassion is something she has been lacking lately. Not only did she suggest that the earthquakes in China were due to karma after the Tibet situation, she also wears fur constantly.
